Knowing Who You Are
People ask all the time, “What’s your sign?” then go on to decide your traits and characteristics. What most people do not understand is that your sign is only one fraction of who you are. If you neglect your numbers in this equation you are neglecting key factions of who you really are. Why settle for a textbook description when there is so much more to us? I will use myself as an example: My sign is Sagittarius, which is a fire sign, positive and normally a follower. But in contradiction are seekers of truth, adventurers, independent minded people and lovers of travel. Many attributes resonate around this sign that can be agreed to or contradicted. They’re fun loving, adventurous and a propensity to be ready to travel and explore nature is a common, but not necessarily always obvious trait. Sagittarians may also stand back in the shadows to observe, being non-committal or even non-conversational.
Now if you use my traditional birth number ‘1’, strong determination and very motivated with goal focused attributes, you may be on point. But suppose my number was ‘2’? Would my sign carry the same weight? This number usually means, mean, spiteful, jealous and prone to vengeful acts. This is usually when crossed, made angry or mistreated.
Now does my sign alone tell anyone anything about me? If so it may be a better idea to ask, “What’s your number”? The numbers seems to tell so much more than the signs. How often do we read our horoscope based on our signs and instantly say, “That is not at all like me’? You usually are right.
Now to complicate things more, try using all your numbers to really determine who and how you are. Life, destiny, etc, are all your general makeup that we often forget about. So get some attention. When someone asks, “What’s your sign?” Come back with, “Not sure, but my number is_”. Then watch the confusion on their face. This is a good icebreaker or conversation piece too.
