Understanding Tarot
The Tarot is a deck of cards that originated over 500 years ago in northern Italy. The early Tarot symbolism was deeply rooted in Medieval and Renaissance Europe, but over the centuries it has grown to incorporate modern images and words. Today, the Tarot is far and away the most popular tool for spiritual introspection in the West. Though some people do not believe in tarot card reading (often because they don’t understand it), there are many who rely on its meanings to give direction in their lives and provide answers to questions that concern them.
Tarot decks usually have 78 cards. The 22 Major Arcana cards symbolize the bigger picture of your life and major events. The 56 Minor Arcana cards reflect aspects of daily life. They are divided into 4 suits of Ace to Ten and court cards (King, Queen, Page and Knight).
The classic Rider-Waite Tarot is the best known tarot deck and was drawn in 1909. However some people find the symbols, figures, images and words of these cards quite scary. For my readings I use gentle angel-based tarot cards that give answers in kind, loving ways.
A Tarot reading is an excellent way of gaining a new perspective on your life and developing better understanding and knowledge. You have the power to change your future with the guidance that my readings can give you.
