You have chosen the High Priestess and the 10 of Swords.The High Priestess is a card that is ruled by the moon and it affects our emotions and our outlook, but the 10 of Swords explains that in some ways you feel you've been working far too hard. You're burnt out mentally and have been far too busy on materialistic matters. You've also felt some sort of humiliation or betrayal from other people. This is to do with large groups of people. It's as if you've had a total loss. There's nothing physical in your loss, but you feel that you've been stabbed in the back and made the scapegoat for everybody else. This is because you are so hardworking and you've been happy to take on the responsibilities and duties and obligations that fell in your way. Without realising that the intentions of other people was to let you do all the hard work. You now realise much to your cost that this has been physically and mentally draining. It is a time of exhaustion where you must realise that you will not make the same mistakes again and that you were slightly out of balance. The High Priestess is asking you to take on a much more spiritual approach rather than materialistic approach to life. It's all about our ability to feel connected with the past, so we can respond to the present. It's the need to give and receive physical affection and the High Priestess provides us with safety and comfort in many different ways. It can sometimes be provided by a family or a job in which we feel that a direct involvement with others, really does give us that sense of emotional and physical security but not to the detriment of missing out on the wonderful things that life has to offer like dreams, imagination, inspiration and contact with who we really are. It's time to look at who you really want to be and to find out your ability to value things that provide a physical and emotional satisfaction that leads to your well-being. Because you are independent you've gone through life with high standards of decency and integrity and sometimes seen some of your emotions as being too selfish, so you've usually acknowledged that they must be controlled. You need to feel that you gain support from a group of people both in your personal and professional life and not sacrifice your personal happiness, just because you have a vision of a collective ideal. You're capable of great loyalty and commitment and you must work on the fact that you mustn't carry everybody just because you know you can. The price you pay for it is mental exhaustion.
