You have chosen the Devil and the 8 of cups. This is a time for you to move on through experience. Now is the time to leave behind an emotional gap in your life and abandon the old life as you know it. It's a time for total transformation, but most of all it's to walk away from the old life and move on. The Devil is a part of temptation and it deals with the status and reputation of our lives. It makes us a little materialistic and a little greedy. It's quite a physical card, for it's very earthbound. We start to look at what others think of us and start acting in a different way, keeping up with the Jones'. It's all about being a little bit naughty and putting yourself into an emotional situation of bondage where you feel that you're addicted to a situation that you know is no longer any good for you. You need to take off the ties that bind and to start worrying about what other people think and admit that you were tempted: it was easier to slide back into your old ways. The Devil is the card that means you must look at the situation around you and realise there's an addiction to a situation that's no longer healthy for you. It's giving up an old habit and getting rid of it. If you have the courage, strength and willpower, you can walk away from the situation and within a calendar month you will see your whole life has changed. It's time to show that you're going to leave behind the things that you truly love and care about, but with the fulfilment of time you're going to show that you've got the power and the bravery to let go of an out of date situation - something that's no longer viable or useful to your life. It may even be someone, for the Cups are to do with emotion, but it could be an addiction that you've had either to a situation or to some materialistic cares and desires. You're being asked now to be more spiritual and that just means do what makes you happy and something that nurtures you rather than causes you to feel that you are enslaved into your old ways. It's about being positive, diligent, and dutiful and you must take it seriously. That way then you certainly will gain the respect of others around you.
