You live and then you die ~(Enjoy)
I
Oh Fragile mind rest easy,
For you cannot change the past,
Imaginary scenarios?
But they do never last.
II
Reality is much stronger.
It fights its’ way ahead,
And you cannot choose your memories
Of what you did or said.
III
So why then are you tortured?
Feel sick, be so meek,
As you conjure up those memories
Of what you did last week.
IV
No-one thinks you’re perfect,
So why then do you try?
To err, they say, is human,
You live and then you die.
V
And what you do between then,
Is not etched out on stone,
Choose future paths more wisely,
With new depths your soul has grown.
VI
Construct your own reality,
Cast the negative aside,
Believe that good resides in you,
And carry it with pride.
VII
Pain is worn like armour
You’ve been led today to see,
You’ve conquered many battles
To be the best person you can be.
VIII
Listen to this certainty,
This is the clearer you,
You can torture yourself endlessly,
But what else can you do?
IX
Live with your behaviour,
Live with what you’ve done,
When you’re old you’ll think back fondly,
And remember all the fun.
X
When you’re old your only regret
Will be letting it slip by,
Without enjoying every moment,
You live, and then you die.
