Tarot - Understanding A Tarot Reading

Written by  | 15th January 2018

Tarot cards help tell a story.  They contain 78 cards with several meanings and meanings can change based on combinations of cards.  However, ultimately, as a tarot reader I read you through the cards. I interpret the story playing out with the cards in the tarot deck.  This can be achieved with a few cards or a whole deck, depending on the person and the reading. Let’s go through the process of a basic tarot reading.

  1. Shuffle the deck or I shuffle while doing a reading over the phone while thinking of a question or general situation you would like to know about.   Then cut the deck with your left hand and choose a pile.

  1. I lay the cards out in the order of a Celtic cross which is made up of the present, recent past, distant past, what is crossing your path currently, the future, and the more distant future.  Then there is you, your current environment, your fears and the outcome.  Simple, right?

This kind of reading enables me to look at you and your situation and determine what elements and circumstances are affecting, have affected and may be affecting you and the situation in the future.

Tarot is a great tool for many reasons.  First, It is visual and people like to relate and can when they see the cards or the cards are explained in a visual way.  Second, they help bring focus or clarity to some psychic feelings that may otherwise seem vague or unclear.  Being a clairvoyant, I naturally pick up on people and situations, but like to use the tarot cards to help pinpoint specifics and verify what I am already psychically picking up on from my client. Finally, I like to use them when I work with clients on focusing their own psychic energy by using the tarot cards as a form of meditation, by simply picking a card daily and keeping a journal of your first impressions of the card, this combined with the accompanied definitions of the cards help them interpret their cards and eventually their intuitive feelings in a more in depth way. They are fun and can be a creative way to meditate and open up your intuitive channel.
