After all these years of doing readings. I still hear from women dealing with trying to fix, change or control their partners or their relationships. As women we often feel most of the emotional pressure within the relationship and are most often the nurturers. Keeping the focus on ourselves and our own self-care can be very challenging.
When we feel like we are thinking about someone else’s life more than we are thinking about our own life we have to get back to living in the moment and bringing ourselves back to our own goals and our own needs. As we all know yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here yet, so living in today and the moment makes more sense than anything else. This is why meditation is a wonderful way to get back into YOU and your needs. Learning to be compassionate, nurturing, loving and non-judgmental towards ourselves can take time to master.
Anyone feeling overwhelmed with worry about someone else all the time is not in a healthy place and there are ample books out there about how to take care of ourselves. Getting our minds off someone else and back on ourselves is NOT SELFISH it is in fact healthy. Here are some great and helpful books to help you get the focus back on taking care of the most important person in your life YOU…The Woman’s Comfort Book, Choose YOU, a guided Self Care Journal, The Moon Diva’s Guidebook; Spirited Self-Care for Women in Transition, etc. Should you like to get a reading and discuss relationships and self-care get in touch with me. I look forward to reading for you. Thanks Summer 500954
