The Light And Dark Within
Within me there is light
Radiant and alive
But without the darkness
The light can not survive
Balanced on a razors edge
entwined like an eclipse
faintly shining, lightly shadowed
and then the scale it tips
Today perhaps I will wake
Feel life coursing through my veins
Yet something inside is missing
My shadow self remains
Perhaps tomorrow I will find
The light has pierced my soul
And seek the comfort of shadows
But again I am not whole
To find the perfect balance
To end the struggle within
There is no love without
Until love inside can begin
