Humility, strength or weakness? Humility is truthfulness, open and forgiving. Humility doesn’t seek personal gratification; paradoxically it can also be a form of pride if we enjoy the self-importance derived from appearing to act humbly. Arrogance, pride, self-importance and false humility are places we protect within ourselves; the weakness we have yet to identify with and to forgive.
How do we find humility? Unconsciously we are fearful of our own insignificance, so we lock into little islands of pride and self-importance we hide behind a shield. We are called to an awareness where our ego does not dissolve into a void, into nothing we think, but surrenders to more and more awareness which gives consciousness to the experience of our human spirit and individual soul.
