We all know people -with be they friends, relatives or co-workers - that are difficult to deal with or be around. Even a short conversation with them can drain our energy and make the rest of our day feel out of balance. So, what is the best way to handle these little dark clouds?
The first thing I advise you to do is surround yourself with the universal, or God-source, golden-white light to begin your day on a positive note. Feel it pushing away any negative energy from your physical, mental, as well as spiritual spaces, and surrounding you with protection from all negativity. Another exercise that I recommend is to imagine being surrounded by full length mirrors that are turned away from yourself. Negative spirits do not enjoy seeing themselves and, as they come closer to you and see their own reflections, they can't help but notice their lack of light. They do not like seeing the darkness and ugliness in the mirror. Just before you are going to be around one of those difficult people, picture these mirrors in place to encourage them to spend shorter and shorter lengths of time near you. This also helps to deflect some of their anger and aggressiveness, and they may suddenly not have the drive they first approached you with. Practice this exercise regularly so you can put your mirrors into place in an instant, in case one of these people comes your way unexpectedly.
While you are talking with this person, whether it be face to face or over the telephone, send them some of your beautiful light. They need it! Their spirit will feel it and know it is coming from you. They may not understand, but the light will reach them and help push away a little of their bad energy. When you are finished talking with one of these dark souls, pull in the protective light again, to cleanse your field and renew your energy.
When you begin to pull in the light for yourself, you may notice that you attract more and more positive, upbeat, easy-to-get-along-with types. This is because your energy reaches for other energies like itself.
Always remember - you deserve the highest and best life has to offer.
