What is clutter? Depends and it is Debateable! Discarded, broken, untidy things sound like clutter to me. Miscellaneous objects we no longer need or use which are left to the side. Hold on, did I forget to mention “AND ANY THING ELSE”!
BENEFITS OF DECLUTTERING
Physically you will see the difference! Oh, damn that pair of shoes are no longer there! Hey, someone else will be thanking you for their walk! More space for NEW (shoes)? (LOL)!
Organised environments give a sense of clarity. The lightness enables a good vibrant flow of energy bringing a healthy positive outlook.
Makes life much easier. Clutter can cause blocks and obstacles, delays and irritation, uneasiness and demotivation. This refers to clutter in items which are no longer needed or used yet laying around. Even clutter of thoughts, old past experiences and emotions no longer serving us. Holding on to these hinders growth causing blockages in the process and cycles of transformation.
Naturally, moods will improve after decluttering along with more balance in Body, mind and soul.
READY - LET’S DECLUTTER
This can be done at any time. However, I love to make a ritual out of decluttering. Especially around spring, Full moon, Diwali, Xmas and of course any other random feels right day!
Starting with your intention (goal) the purpose is to take time through this process. It can be overwhelming and emotional on many levels, for some. Please don’t stop BREATHING!
Most important, what works for you may not work for me, visa versa. March at your own drum beat through this process. I like to give clothing and other useable items to charities. Dispose of broken junk in the bin, old worn out items can be hung on your washing line! (JOKE)!
Then there are items, which hold sentiment and memories which is neither junk, out worn, nor charitable! In these cases, it’s your call. What does this item represent to you and what value does it have? Is your house full of these types of “sentimental items”? Do they take up all the space in your house? Could you make better use of this space? Maybe, you can sell this item? What emotions do these “items” give you?
Be honest with yourself! It is your life, your home and space. Only you decide what stays and what goes. How you want to feel at home and what enhances you through that feeling and what are the obstacles blocking you.
When we talk about feelings and experiences the same principles apply. Are you ready to fall in love or have a fear of being hurt? Let go of the past hurt. Recognise your emotional clutter, that voice which speaks from fear and doubt. Live in your heart and hear what it says. Bring to life the best version of you! Not making decisions and avoiding situations may be a clutter due to fear. Over cautious, paranoid, anxious, comparison doesn’t serve your highest good. Work through your clutter through self-development and therapy if need be.
FINAL WORDS!
Is it worth it? YES!!! Blessings!!
