I am a daughter of the night,
no need for me to dream.
As I already possess the gift of flight,
carried forward on feathers that gleam.
The Universe glistens within my eyes,
is it any wonder, mortals think me so wise?
With plumage for a fancy dress,
I soar high above the rest
my sole focus upon my lowly prey.
As my goddess retires, I return to my nest,
so that I too, can escape the harshness of day!
