Namaste,
During this end of year season, from October through December of this year, many of us face challenges, turmoil, tension, and just plain old stress. Are you experiencing tension in your relationships, conflict at work, or just general miscommunication with loved ones? Do know you are not alone. The planetary positioning, combined with the moon cycles, causes the energy in the Universe to heighten. As a result, our emotions intensify. This explains why you are feeling emotional. Here are some tips for relieving the stress, balancing the emotions, and clearing the mind:
Connect with Nature
Whether you live in a city, suburb, or in the country, you can relieve stress by taking a walk outside. Yes, it’s that simple! Treat yourself to a 5 – 15-minute walk, daily. While walking, look up to the sky, breathe deeply, and feel the fresh air touch your face. You cannot help but to smile. Say to yourself “Just for today, I will not stress.” Keep smiling, keep walking, and feel your burdens release. You will feel lighter, happier, and free. Take it one step at a time, day by day.
Take a Bath!
Before bedtime, soak in the tub, for at least 10 minutes. Add to your bath water pink himalayan salt, and some bubbles. The pink himalayan salt relaxes the muscles and releases the tension, and the bubbles are for fun. Dim the lights, and light a couple of candles. Play calming, soothing music. While soaking, close your eyes and drift away to a place that makes you feel peaceful, like a beach or in the mountains.
Tea Time!
Drinking more water and herbal teas, and less of the caffeinated beverages like coffee, can calm the nerves tremendously. Adding lemon and lime slices to your water helps with cleansing and releasing toxins. Herbal teas come in many flavors; Chamomile, and Mint are my favorites, what are yours?
