Colours and you!

Written by  | 13th November 2015

Colour can influence our bodies, moods, and feelings. This is a psychological fact.

Like individual notes of music, each colour has its own vibration.

Responding to colour is unavoidable. It affects our moods & emotions. It can change our behaviour, & even alter the way we look on a physical level.

As we know, colour speaks!

Black for sorrow

Red for passion

Green for envy

White for peace

Close your eyes & think of your favourite colour.

Why is it your favourite? How does it make you feel?

What colour do you hate, and why?

The colour we respond to best may be the predominate one in your aura.

Colours sell! It’s been estimated, that a product has 1/4 of a second to catch our attention on the shelf! So colour is very important in retail.

Not all colours have universal associations.

For instance, red to the French is masculinity, where as in parts of Africa it represents death.

In South America, purple signifies the end of life.

In the west, Green is usually linked with environmental or conservation issues. But in Muslim countries it is sacrosanct.

In the home colour plays a central role. Cold rooms can be warmed with peach shades, or sunshine yellows and reds. Hot rooms can be cooled with blues, greens and white.

The colours you wear make a statement to the world. They allow you to silently communicate who you are.

Wearing flattering colours makes you come alive.

They can even help you be that successful interview candidate.

Colours you suit can make you look younger, and more vital.

Whereas colours you don't suit can make you look drab.

Of course, some of us have to wear uniforms, but a pair of brightly coloured earrings scarf, a ring or a belt can bring a beautiful pinpoint of colour to a grey day.

Let yourself shine & express who you really are for all to see. :)
