Chakra Unblocking
The best way to describe a Chakra is a spinning ball of energy that helps our body to function as it should, as long as all Chakras are individually and equally balanced. We have multiple Chakras located throughout different points in the body. However, there are 7 main Chakras that are mostly focused on. Each of these 7 chakras correlate to a specific area in life and are represented by a different colour of the rainbow.
1st Chakra: ROOT CHAKRA
Colour: Red
Location: The base of the spine.
Meaning: This Chakra represents settlement, feeling grounded in life, home and work. It’s about setting roots.
How to unblock: Spend time in nature, appreciating nature and feeling connected with it. Surrender to and let go of the frustrations you have with life. Make the changes needed to truly feel grounded and settled. Understand your self-worth and believe it. Apply it. Have appreciation for the things you may take for granted, such as having running water or a roof over your head.
Meditate for 15 minutes per day, imagining a vibrant red spinning ball of energy at the base of your spine and feel it healing and grounding you. Once you feel this Chakra is unblocked, you can move on to healing another Chakra but ALWAYS remember only to try and heal Chakras one by one.
2nd Chakra: Sacral Chakra
Colour: Orange
Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel
Meaning: This Chakra represents physical relationships (both friendships and romantic), pleasures in life, fertility and self-expression.
To unblock: Perform acts of kindness/volunteering/helping others. Learn how to speak truthfully about your feelings with people you have relationships with. Learn how to love your body and feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. Meditate for 15 minutes per day visualising your Root Chakra, then visualise your Sacral Chakra: a vibrant orange ball of spinning energy sitting in your lower abdomen. Feel healing and appreciation for yourself. Be thankful for all you have and all you are. Know that you are enough. Visualise your Root and Sacral Chakras working in perfect harmony.
3rd Chakra: Solar Plexus Chakra
Colour: Yellow
Location: Just above the navel
Meaning: This Chakra represents self-esteem, self-confidence and non-egotistical self-love.
To unblock: Dismiss negative feelings or self limiting beliefs about yourself. Learn to take criticism positively. Distinguish between the people in your life who should be in your circle and who shouldn’t. Let go of resentment for people who have hurt you. Forgive. Celebrate your accomplishments and learn from mistakes. Stop over analysing yourself and learn to trust your own inner voice and intuition. Meditate for 15 minutes per day visualising your Root Chakra, then Sacral Chakra, then visualise the Solar Plexus Chakra: a vibrant yellow ball of spinning energy just above your belly button. See your power shining brightly and feel your self confidence growing. Visualise your Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras working in perfect harmony.
4th Chakra: Heart Chakra
Colour: Green
Location: Centre of chest
Meaning: This Chakra represents your desires, love and devotion.
To unblock: Dismiss temptation or desires that hinder you or have no purpose to achieving a higher self. Let go of heartbreak and heal old relationship wounds. Let go. Allow yourself to open up to love and the deepness of it. Face the challenges of love with a positive mind set. Let your heart feel joy. Don’t pre-judge situations because of a hurtful past. Trust your inner voice deeply and learn to say no to people who hurt you in love.
Meditate for 15 minutes per day visualising your Root Chakra>Sacral Chakra>Solar Plexus Chakra, then visualise the Heart Chakra: a vibrant green ball of spinning energy in the centre of your chest, just above your heart. Feel the love. Know your worth. Open your heart. Visualise your Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras working in perfect harmony together.
5th Chakra: Throat
Colour: Blue
Location: Throat and neck
Meaning: This Chakra represents self expression, communication and speaking your truth
To unblock: Learn to speak truthfully. Dismiss any untruthful or gossipy behaviour. Speak positively and say what you mean instead of people pleasing. It’s okay to say no. Don’t fear speaking truthfully. Understand when it’s time to speak and when it’s time to listen. Think about your words and how they affect others. Listen to what you say about yourself and make sure you speak positively about yourself. Meditate for 15 minutes per day visualising your Root Chakra>Sacral Chakra>Solar Plexus Chakra> Heart Chakra then visualise the Throat Chakra: a vibrant blue ball of spinning energy in the centre of your throat. Allow yourself to have the bravery to always speak your truth with kindness and for good. Visualise your Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart and Throat Chakras working in perfect harmony together.
6th Chakra: Brow Chakra
Colour: Indigo
Location: Centre of the eyebrows
Meaning: This Chakra represents psychic ability, intuition and trusting of your inner voice. It is one Chakra away from enlightenment. This Chakra opens the Pineal Gland which connects us to the spiritual world. When this Chakra opens, understanding that ‘all is one’ will resonate strongly and become extremely known.
To unblock: Let go of ego and become selfless. Think in an open minded way, do not be judgmental or small minded. Eat healthily and be compassionate. Allow your mind to access a higher level of thinking and knowledge. Feel as one with the universe and higher powers. Know that everything is connected energetically and you are one with everything.
Meditate for 15 minutes per day visualising your Root Chakra>Sacral Chakra>Solar Plexus Chakra>Heart Chakra>Throat Chakra, then visualise the Brow Chakra: a vibrant indigo ball of spinning energy sitting in the middle of your eyebrows, expelling a beautiful indigo light as far as the eye can see. Imagine your third eye unblocking and trust your intuition. Visualise your Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat and Brow Chakras working in perfect harmony.
7th Chakra: Crown Chakra
Colour: Violet with white above
Location: Top of the head
Meaning: This Chakra represents a true spiritual connection: a high level of consciousness and thought. With this comes enlightenment, divinity, trust in the higher powers and total spiritual clarity.
To unblock: Be humble and thankful for everything. Understand and appreciate the connection to the divine. Abandon previous beliefs of a materialistic world. Live with pure light and peace in your mind, heart and soul. Be restful and peaceful. Be thankful for the wisdom and enlightened way of life and thinking. Meditate for 15 minutes per day visualising your Root Chakra>Sacral Chakra>Solar Plexus Chakra>Heart Chakra>Throat Chakra>Brow Chakra, then visualise the Crown Chakra: an incredibly vibrant violet ball of spinning energy with white light totally surrounding it enlightening the top of your head and shooting upwards as far as the eye can see. Know that you are now operating with the divine on a higher level and you have a higher purpose to help and heal others. Visualise your Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Brow and Crown Chakras working in perfect harmony.
