Are you typical of your star sign? If so, how?
I'm a Cancer and I do think I'm typical of it in the sense that I love to be home! My house is my sanctuary and I take very good care of it. My home is the most comfortable place in the world. I have been told on occasion that I can be quite moody too. Oops!
I am quite sensitive as Cancers have been described to be but I rather think of this as an asset as it helps me to empathize with people incredibly well.
How long have you been giving readings for?
I've read tarot now for roughly 5 years. I was 30 when I started reading books about tarot and starting to practice, and it turned out that I developed quite an intuitive knack to it. My readings became more insightful over time and I began to read for complete strangers at fairs and parties, many of which I'm happy to say, told me they were also very insightful. Some of the strangers I read for at parties went on to become good friends of mine.
What advice would you give to those customers contemplating their first reading?
Don't be nervous, there's nothing to fear, I don't bite and the cards don't either! Tarot is best used for guidance and reassurance only. If a reading resonates, take it with you. If it doesn't, leave it behind. We're all human, trying to get on with it best we can, sometimes a listening ear is all we need.
What do you do for fun outside of psychic readings?
I love to swim, read, and sing karaoke! But beware, once I'm on karaoke, you can't get me off!
What prompted you to start giving readings?
I always had strange 'deja vu' experiences, really strong 'gut feelings' throughout life that usually, turned out to be absolutely spot on. I could also interpret a persons energy well, knowing when something wasn't quite right. I've had a high vibration from a young age where people would tell me things I often had no business knowing! I decided to look into things like intuition and divination, which in turn lead me to reading tarot. So here I am!
What spiritual skills do you have?
I couldn't really say for sure. I am spiritual, but besides knowing the zodiac back to back and and an interest in astrology, I'd say I'm just a Plain Jane with an honest gut. I have a deep empathy, a high vibration, and I put a lot of trust in my intuition. If you have a reading with me and I draw a card and I feel some type of way about it's message right off the bat, I'm gonna tell you straight.
What tools do you use within your readings?
I like to keep things pretty simple, I look at it as a way for us to explore the unknown together. After all, life is a journey, and tarot is a map to the possibilities that brings!
I do a three card draw to start, and as I interpret the message, we can chat about the possible meanings, how it may or may not resonate, and we keep it comfortable and cozy. Just like having a coffee with a friend, but with tarot!
What’s your most memorable psychic experience?
I don't know if it can be called psychic as such, however... A few years ago, me and my husband had planned to go on a trip to Huddersfield to stay with friends, as he had a job to do there and I could explore the sights while he worked. The morning of, a wave of dread rushed over me and I absolutely refused to get in the car. I told him there was something not right about the trip and I didn't think he should go either. My husband went anyway and ended up being stuck in traffic for 6 hours due to a horrific accident that had happened on the exact route he was taking.
When did you discover your gifts?
I've always been told that my gut feeling was spot on and I am often telling people, "I told you so", however I never realized it was a gift until I as in my 30's. I'm 36 now and I have been very in tune with my intuition for most of my life, I just never really knew that it wasn't the same for everyone until I was older.
Why should a client choose you for their psychic reading?
I'm just here to listen and tell you what I see. I'm not here to judge, dig or pry. My main thing is I want my clients to feel comfortable and listened to. I want to create a comfortable environment where we can let our energy flow naturally with conversation.
We will consult the cards for some subtle guidance in the right direction. I'm not big or flashy by nature, I simply offer a kind tone and a gentle nudge. I take a relaxed, simple approach to a reading, like we're two friends chatting over coffee.
